Harold Alton "Buck" Moore, Sr., passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, October 30, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer for the second time. He was born on February 2, 1932 in Abbeville, SC to Maud Alewine Moore and James Harmon Moore and was the sixth of their nine children. He served in the SC National Guard from 1951 To 1953. Harold then worked in Flint, Michigan at the Ford plant. Later, he worked at Sears Roebuck for 29 years. Harold was a life-long servant of the Lord and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Anderson. A devout family man, Harold married his sweetheart, Jacqueline Jackson in 1957 and they were married for 62 years. They have two sons, Harold Moore, Jr. (Lynda) and Gary Moore (Kristine); 4 grandchildren, Keri, Lauren, Jeremy and Sophie; and 9 great-grandchildren, Kylie, Blair, Savannah, Baylor, Isaac, Sutton, Evelyn, Liev and Ruth. A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 1:00pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Calvin Moore officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
