'TOMMY' PHILLIPS June 1, 1938 - November 16, 2006ANDERSON, SCMr. Harold Thomas 'Tommy' Phillips, age 68, husband of Martha 'Molly' Armstrong Phillips of 3016 Camden Drive, died Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Greenville County on June 1, 1938, Mr. Phillips was a son of the late O. B. Phillips and Edna George Phillips. He was retired from Haynesworth Mill with thirty years of service and was a United States Navy veteran having served four years. Mr. Phillips was associated with three churches during his life, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Orrville Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church. He was a Sunday School teacher and served in many ministries. He coached Little League Baseball with Starr Athletic Association.Survivors include his wife, of the home; daughter, Angie Wages and her husband, Ken of Anderson, SC; brother, Billy Ray Phillips of Starr, SC; sisters, Carolyn Craft of Fountain Inn, SC and Evelyn Rogers of Simpsonville, SC and two grandchildren, Theresa Wages and Dylan Wages. Many nieces and nephews also survive.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Dr. Harold Phillips, Rev. Dr. Wendell Bannister and Rev. Alton Midget. Interment will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 18, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of his daughter, Angie Wages, 215 Hanks Gin Road, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
