He had formerly worked in auto body repair and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Honea Path.Survivors include his wife, Betty McLaughlin Wright, of the home; daughters: Teresa Cruz of Athens, GA, Melissa Culberson of Anderson, Michelle Ricketts of Anderson, and Deborah Fields of Anderson; sisters: Carolyn Ellenburg of Williamston, Macy Webb of Belton, and Shirley Vaughn of Anderson; brother, Preston Wright, of Belton; and eight grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one grandson, one brother and one sister. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 12, 2009 in Old Silver Brook Cemetery conducted by the Reverend J.R. McClure and the Reverend Tab Scarborough.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.THE McDOUGALD FUNERA L HOME is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
