HASKELL MONROE BURTON Haskell Monroe Burton, age 92, of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Furman Monroe Burton and the late Janie Looney Burton. Haskell graduated from Clemson University in 1941. He worked in textile management for many years at JP Stevens. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Anderson. He is survived by his spouse, Frances Eloise Burton; his children, Joseph Richard Burton and his wife Catherine Zwicky Burton, of Dallas, TX, Tommy Burton and his wife Karen of Clover, SC and Anne Burton, of Greer, SC; six grandchildren, Michael Burton, Jonathan Burton, Anthony Burton, Maggie Caroline Hall, Hannah Burton, Jacob Burton; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Robert "Robby" Burton and a brother, Joseph Burton. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Walter Coleman and Dr. Jim Thomason officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Anderson, 307 South Manning Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
