Hattie Prince Shaw, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC. Born on June 17, 1936 in Calhoun Falls, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy Prince and the late Daisey Carter Prince. She worked in textiles most of her life, employed at Michelin for seven years and at Bigelow and Sanford for 20 years. Hattie enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and getting together with family and friends. She loved flowers and even through her health problems, she remained very independent. Hattie was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Davis (Dennis) of Starr, SC, Lynn Goodale (Hank) of Anderson, SC, and Jan Nash of Townville, SC; sons, Darrell F. Shaw (Kay) of Anderson, SC, Donnie W. Shaw (Pam) of Anderson, SC, and Mike Shaw of Townville, SC; a sister-in-law, Mary Prince; nephews, Richard and Kenneth Prince; a niece, Diane Prince; grandchildren, Jessica Eiland, Crystal Boles, Heath Davis, Erin Shaw, Erik Shaw, Kala Shaw, Chad Shaw, Kevin Shaw, Jenny Padgett, Erica Gentry, Hailey Gentry, Joey Brown, Christy Craig, Richard St. James, and Melton Nash Jr.; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mack Prince and Jimmy Prince, Jr.; and her daughter Sharon Kay Kay. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverends Phil Keown, Charles Howell and Lawrence Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Latimer Cemetery in Calhoun Falls, SC.
