HAZEL GIBBY ANDERSON April 6, 1930 - September 5, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Hazel Gibby Anderson, age 77, of 406 Thompson Road, Anderson, SC, beloved wife of 57 years of James E. Anderson, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 05, 2007 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Eastanollee, GA on April 6, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Macy Kay Gibby. She was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas with a service record of 31 years. She was a member of the Ladies Retiree club. She was a faithful member of Middleton Road Baptist and President of the Faith Sunday School class. Survivors include husband, James E. Anderson of the home; daughters, Audrey Pelkey and husband, Ed Pelkey, and LaDonna Blair and husband, Carey Blair, all of Anderson, SC. Grandchildren include: granddaughter; Tonya Miller and husband, Matt Miller of Starr, SC; grandsons Jeremy Keller and wife, Brook Keller and Jason Keller, all of Anderson, SC. Great-grandsons include: Brady and Carter Miller of Starr, SC; sisters include Maye Bennett and Faye Anderson of Anderson, SC, Sara Ayers and brother, Elgan Gibby, both of Eastanollee, GA.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ila Isbell, Edna Stowe, Velma Franklin and Agnes Ford.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverends Brad Hanks and Ralph Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 6, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her daughter, LaDonna Blair, 407 Thompson Road, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
