HAZEL P. BROWN April 15, 1922 - December 12, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Hazel Parnell Brown, age 90, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Merrit Ethridge and the late Clara Cleveland Ethridge. She worked at Wamsutta for many years. She loved gardening, flowers and music. Hazel was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Shaw; seven grandchildren, Janet Weyman McClain and her husband Ricky, Debbie Shaw Branyon and her husband Greg, Cindy Weyman Moore and her husband Darrell, Missy Weyman Norris and her husband Tony, Tracie Shaw McCuen and her husband Marty, Logan Parnell and Tyler Parnell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, who died in 1982, Joe Fretwell Parnell and her second husband who died in 1998, Charles "Red" Brown; a daughter, Frances Weyman; and a son, Joel Parnell. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Tracie McCuen and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
