Hazel Smith Calloway, age 80, of Anderson, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Ellenburg Nursing Center. Born May 2, 1938 in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late James Garnett Smith and Bessie Holbrooks Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Calloway; and siblings, Tommy Smith, Curly Smith, Ellen Sanders, and Ilene McElrath. Hazel is survived by a son, Billy Calloway of Iva, SC; a sister, Phyllis Philyaw of Anderson, SC; and one grandchild. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at The McDougald Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow the visitation at 12:30 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. David Blizzard officiating.
