HERRINGJANUARY 7, 1910 - May 1, 2008ANDERSON, SCHazel Darby Herring, age 98 of 113 Farmer Street died on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Greenville County on January 7, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Homer Darby and Lillie Mae Brooks Darby. Mrs. Herring was a member of Garner Memorial Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Rebecca Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker.Survivors include her daughters: Eloise Fouche and Linda White, both of Anderson; seven grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.In addition to Mrs. Herring's parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odtis L. Herring; her daughters: Anna Mae Entrekin and Doris Bolt; her brother, Bill Darby; and her sisters: Polly Manning, Sally Bell Baker, Hassie Hancock, and Annie Mae Farmer.The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 3, 2008 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Furman Entrekin.
