Hazel Rampey Frances Hazel Crowe Rampey, age 100, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Ellenburg Nursing Center. Born in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Barteau Crowe and the late Janna Richardson Crowe. She was a graduate of Erskine College. Hazel was a school teacher for 25 years and principal of Concord School. She also taught at North Fant Street and Whitehall Elementary School where she retired in 1976. She was a member of the Educator's Association and Clemson Homemakers Club. She was a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church for more than 40 years. Hazel taught Sunday school all of her life at Riverside Baptist Church, River Street Baptist Church, and Pope Drive Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Reverend Dr. Victor Rampey, Jr. and his wife Cindy, of Hendersonville, NC; daughters, Ellen Adair and her husband John, of Columbia, SC and Martha Rose Moody, of Anderson; a brother, Roger Crowe of Florida; a sister, Elaine Wolf, of Anderson; five grandchildren, Kim Adair Cecale, Kirk Adair, Dr. Robin Moody, Christina Rampey Hunoval and Courtney Rampey Poore; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Victor Wilson Rampey, Sr.; brothers, Basil D. "Dick" Crowe, JB Crowe, Ross Crowe; and sisters, Dorothy Stone, Janna Carroll, and Hattie Crowe. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Dr. Ron Fousek and Reverend Ken Wright officiating. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, from 11:30am until 12:30pm. Private interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
