Helen B. Brooks, age 75, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to the late Marvin Brooks, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born May 23, 1947, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Bright and Bunie Mae Hogg Bright. Helen worked in sales and service at Winn-Dixie. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and most importantly spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Freedom Center South. She is survived by her son, Chris Brooks (Annette) of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Haleigh, Sam, and Abby Brooks, all of Nashville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donnie and James Bright. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 21, in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
