MRS. HELEN LACH September 29, 1914 - July 31, 2013 Mrs. Helen Dorothy Selick Lach, age 98, of Anderson, SC, formerly of Livingston, NJ, died at Rainey Hospice House on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Born in Newark, NJ, Mrs. Lach was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Furchak Selick. She was married to the late Emil R. Lach for 74 years. A devoted wife and loving mother, Mrs. Lach spent most of her life raising her family in Livingston, NJ before moving to South Carolina. She was an active member of Olivet Congregational Church in Livingston where she held various positions and taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Lach is survived by her two sons, Richard Lach of East Hanover, NJ and Wayne Lach of Goodyear, AZ; a daughter, Eileen Lach Cummins and her husband, Michael, of Anderson, SC; and five grandchildren, David Lach, Tracy Lynn Cummins, Michael J. Cummins, Kerry Barile, and Kevin Lach; 4 great-grandchildren, Dylan Lach, Brianna Lach, Campbell Grace Cummins, and Emersyn Rose Barile. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Emil, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George Selick and William Selick; and five sisters: Elizabeth Fischer, Mary Nebesky, Anne Price, Bertha Popick and Pauline Burger. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, August 2, 2013, from 6 PM until 8 PM. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Restland Memorial Park, 77 DeForest Avenue, East Hanover, NJ at a later date, with interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery. Burroughs, Kohr and Dangler Funeral Home of Madison, NJ, will handle arrangements in New Jersey.
