Mrs. Helen Little Martin, age 94, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson County, SC on May 17, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Eugene Little and the late Robbie Walters Little. She was a faithful member of Orrville Baptist Church where she taught the Ruth Sunday School Class and was a member of W.M.U. She also sang in the choir and was loved by all. She is survived by her three grandsons, who affectionately called her "maw-maw" Kenneth Edsel "Eddie" Martin, Jr., Zachary "Zack" Sean Martin, and Jeremy Ford Martin; and eight great grandchildren, Christian, Riley, Kenzie, Erick, Gray, Silas, Davis and Karah. She is also survived by her three sisters, Avernell Little Hiott, of Anderson, SC, Mary Little Mullikin, of Pendleton, SC, and Peggy Little Hughes, (Charles) of Anderson, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Ford Martin; her son, Kenneth Edsel Martin; and two brothers, Thomas Walton Little, and Dewey Clyde Little, Sr. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Wendell Bannister officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of her sister, Peggy, 227 Whiten Road, Anderson and will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Orrville Baptist Church, 2620 South Main Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
