STUART Sunrise - October 16, 1922 - February 3, 2007- SunsetANDERSON, SCMrs. Helen Elese Baker Stuart, age 84, of 212 Corning Street, Anderson, SC, wife of the late Wilson H. Stuart, went to be with her Heavenly Father, February 03, 2007 at the home of her daughter.She was born in Starr, SC in the Shiloh Community on October 16, 1922. Mrs. Stuart was the daughter of the late George Baker and Ethel Suttles Baker. She was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. In her active years in the church and community, she was a member of the Home Demonstration Club, the W.M.U. and was a faithful nursery worker. She was a homemaker and retired with 10 years of service from Singer Corporation.Survivors include her daughters, Alice S. Lawton and her husband, Reverend Gerald Lawton of Gamerco, New Mexico, Sandra S. Rhodes and her husband, Bill Rhodes of Martin, GA and Janice S. Gunnells and her husband, Ronnie Gunnells of Anderson, SC sisters, Ruth Waters and her husband, Fred of Anderson, Mabel Brown of Charleston, SC and her beloved sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Stuart of Starr, SC. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Carl Baker, Edward Baker, Leon Baker, Mildred Boles and George Baker, Jr. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2007at 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home and will be officiated by the Rev. Ed Hunsinger and Rev. Terry Baker. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SCFlowers are optional.
