Janie Helon Loftis, age 90, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, October 4, 2015. Born in Clarkesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late George Ellison Ivester and Annie M Frye Ivester. She was a faithful member of Iva ARP Church where she was involved in WOC. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Group of Iva and the Shamrock Garden Club of Iva. She is survived by her son-in-law, Robert Keisler (Cynthia) of Columbia, SC; grandson, Rob Jarrett Keisler (Jenny) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and niece Ann W. Thayer and family of Belton, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Howard Loftis; daughter, Terry Loftis Keisler; and sister, Vivian I. Williams. A graveside service will be held will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Hardy officiating. The family will be gathering for a time of visitation following the service. The family wishes to thank her dear friend Jean McCalla, Home Instead Senior Care, and Gentiva Hospice for their care and devotion to Ms. Loftis.
