Henry Lewis McKimmy Anderson, SC Henry "Bumpa" Lewis McKimmy, age 91, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Summit Place in Anderson. Born in Beaverton, MI, he was the son of the late Lester McKimmy and the late Iva Mishler McKimmy. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and the United States Army Air Corp. He retired from BASF after 35 years of service and was a Master Mason. He was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years. He is survived by a son-in-law, Jeff Willis (Susan); five grandchildren, Amy Hammond (Jody), Nathan Jester, Jonathan Jester, Jackie Willis and Melissa Willis; and three great-grandchildren, Grayson Hammond, Jozie Hammond and Kaden Jester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maurine Mae Breedlove McKimmy; a son, Stephen McKimmy; a daughter, Elizabeth McKimmy Willis; and a sister, June Kern. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Frey officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of his granddaughter, Amy, 441 Shirley Circle, Anderson, SC 29625 and will receive friends at the church prior to the service on Monday, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Summit Place for the wonderful love and care they showed Henry while he was with them.
