Henry Eugene Mock III 87, of Anderson, SC passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House. Born November 9, 1929 in Maxton, NC, Henry was a son to the late Henry Eugene II and Lois Munns Mock. Henry was a graduate of North Carolina State University and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He retired from Clark-Schwebel with 32 years of service as a fabric designer. He worked with Haven of Rest Boys Club and was an avid golfer and NC State sports fan. He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Brisson Mock; sons, Henry Eugene (Deborah) Mock IV of Anderson, SC and Daniel Dixon Mock (Sharon) of Anderson, SC; daughter, Nanci Mock (Fred) Padgett of Gastonia, NC; sister, Joyce Mock Harris of Winter Haven, FL; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm Thursday, June 22, 2017 at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
