KENNIS 'KEN' PAYNE May 14, 1940 - May 27, 2008ANDERSON, SCMr. Henry Kennis 'Ken' Payne, age 68, husband of Ellen Chatham Payne of Anderson, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson County, SC on May 14, 1940, he was the son of the late J. B. Payne and Blanche Merck Payne. He was a 1958 graduate of Boys' High School and retired from Michelin, Sandy Springs Plant after 17 years of service. He was also a realtor with the Silver Star Real Estate Company. Mr. Payne was Past Worshipful Master of Ruff Masonic Lodge # 240, and assisted with the Belton Boy Scout Troop #20. He volunteered with Life Choice at AnMed Health Medical Center and was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include his wife, Ellen Chatham Payne of the home; son, Roger Kennis Payne of Reston, VA; brother, Travis Payne of Belton; sister, Linda Payne of Anderson and one grandson, Brandon Payne of Gainesville, FL.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Steve Silvey and Ron Pressley. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Masonic Rites.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of his brother, Travis Payne, 100 Payne Lane, Belton, SC.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Adult Sarcoma Research Center, The University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O.
