Herbert Foster Roberts, age 89, a resident of Brookdale Senior Living, Easley, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Born in Wellsburg, WV on March 27, 1928, he was the son of the late Early Glay Roberts and the late Nellie Alice Brabham Roberts. For sixty-eight years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Marjorie Dean Bohannon Roberts of the residence. Mr. Roberts proudly served his country in the US Army from which he was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. He retired after twenty-two years employment at Pillsbury in Wellsburg WV where he was a maintenance tech. He was a Mason, and served as a Deacon in the Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Marjorie, he is survived by a son, Tony Roberts and his fianc Ginger Turner, of Townville, SC; two daughters, Dinah Lynn Annett and her husband, Ed, of Louisville, KY, and Zaritta Mary Roberts of Townville, SC; also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, Herb was preceded in death by a daughter, Belinda Kay Pyles; two grandchildren, Joshua Allen Moninger and Sarah Lynn Moninger. The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Herb Roberts will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017, at the Committal Shelter at M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery, with Rev. Dave Shorter officiating.
