Seawright and Mamie Evans Seawright. He served in the United States Army following World War II. He was a graduate of Anderson Boys' High School and attended Presbyterian College. He was very active within the American Legion ' having served in numerous capacities, including Post Commander. Following his service to our country, he assumed the operation of the family business, Seawright Plumbing & Heating located on North Main Street. He was a lifelong member of Central Presbyterian Church. In earlier years, he taught Sunday School at Annie Linley Presbyterian Church on Whitner Street.Survivors include his beloved companion, Edna Mae Ford; his brother, Robbie Seawright and wife, Pat, of Belton; his sister, Linda S. Martin and husband, Jack, of Anderson; his nieces and nephews: Kelley Seawright and wife, Tina, of Anderson, Chesley D. Martin and wife, Carla, of Greenville, and Laura M. Wilson and husband, Michael, of Florida; his great nieces and nephew: Kayley Seawright, Sally Seawright, and Jackson Kenneth Martin. Additionally he is survived by very dear friends, Steven & Jackie Donahue of Anderson.A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Central Presbyterian Church conducted by the Reverend Dr. David J. Bailey. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
