Herman Dunn Anderson, SC Herman Howard Dunn, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Born on September 15, 1925, he was the son of the late Erskine Dunn and the late Lois Dickson Dunn. He was the owner and operator of Dunn's Greenhouse. He was a member New Prospect Baptist Church and of the National Federation of the Blind. He is survived by his daughter, Sherri Biermann and her husband Robert, of Anderson; brothers, Rufus and Mack Dunn, both of Anderson; sisters, Betty Turner, Nancy Early and Sadie Norris, all of Anderson; a sister-in-law Mary Ryals and her husband, James, of Anderson; three grandchildren, Stephanie McWhorter, Kristin Collins, and Matthew Spearman; five great-grandchildren, Alex McWhorter, Luke McWhorter, Hagen and Kaden Collins and Landon Spearman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jean Stephens Dunn; four brothers, J.C., Bobby, Calvin and Ralph Dunn; and a sister, Ruby Neal Hill. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Tony Smith and Mr. Chad Cromer officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home, on Friday, prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels - Anderson, PO Box 285, Anderson, SC 29622.
