Hester Ann King Cole went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 27, 2016. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted to her Savior and to her family. She was the wife of the late Reverend Jack Cole for 48 years. She stood by his side and supported him and his ministry during these years, showing God's love to everyone she came in contact with. Born in Anderson County on March 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Homer D. and Nannie Hawkins King. She was a member of Eureka Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Roger Cole and his wife Tammy, of Taylors, SC, and Jayne Powell and her husband Reverend Ronnie Powell, of Honea Path, SC; three grandchildren, Jeremy Powell and his wife Kendra, Krystal C. Bjorndalen and her husband Derek, and Megan C. Trejo and her husband Aaron; three great-grandchildren, Tucker and Emma Powell and Jayden Bjorndalen; a sister, Betty McCurry; and a brother-in-law, Rudolph Cole and his wife Bobbie. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Powell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 28, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
