HILDA GEER January 10, 1923 - May 22, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Hilda Harris Bonds Geer, age 90, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Lowndesville, she was the daughter of the late Allen Mason Bonds and the late Annie Gertrude Campbell Bonds. She graduated from Iva High School and attended Forrest College. She retired in 1985 as the office manager in the Micro-Biology Department at Clemson University. She was a loving wife and mother and was very dedicated to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hilda was a very Godly woman, a member of the First Baptist Church in Anderson and was a member of the Blanche Holcombe Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Pace Setters Square Dancers and enjoyed her yard and flowers. She is survived by her loving husband, William Francis "Frank" Geer, Sr. of the home; a son, William F. "Bill" Geer and his wife, Judy of Clemson; a daughter, Wendy Geer Pedrick and her husband, Roger, of Anderson, and Trudy G. Simpson Edwards of Boiling Springs; five grandchildren, Mahalie Milstead and her husband, Ben; Rodd Pedrick and his wife, Amy, Eric Pedrick, Scott Simpson, Jr. and his wife, Nikki, and Shannon Simpson; and seven great-grandchildren, Brenden, Collin, Trey, John Landon, Ethan Matthew, Madyson and Logan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dan, Carroll and Wade Bonds; and two sisters, Ellen Cowan and Mary Bonds. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 3:30 PM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Josh Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
