Horace Edward Lollis, age 83, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born September 28, 1940, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Guy Lollis and Lucille Stegall Lollis. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Horace was a supervisor with LaFrance Industries and retired after 40 years with the company. He enjoyed yard work, car shows, and antique cars, owning a 1954 Ford. But his favorite hobby was his grandchildren as he loved spending time with them more than anything. He was a faithful member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara Phillips Lollis; children, Greg Lollis (Debbie), Gina Bowen (Mike), and Gaye Bates (Keith); grandchildren, Scott Lollis (Hannah), Cortney Campbell (Dylan), Chandler Church (Miriam), Barrett Bowen, and Brooke Bowen; and great grandchildren, Judah, Sophie, Ellie, Jaina, Arden, Kade, Cooper, and one expected great grandchild.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 24, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Dr. Brent Lollis and Rev. Scott Lollis officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
