Campbell Veterans Nursing Center.Born in Italy to the late Bartolo and Maria DeFranches Fant, Mr. Fant graduated from high school in Bronx, NY and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an advanced certified practitioner for Interstate Commerce Commission with an Associate Degree in Technical Drafting from Middletown, NY Community College. He was a technical manager for Fermont, Division of the Dynamics Corporation of America, Bridgeport, CT for over 27 years. After his retirement, he started, managed and owned ManuFab Products Company, Inc., for over 10 years in Newport, NH. He was of the Catholic faith and an avid golfer, canoer, woodworker and outdoor enthusiast.Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Robert Fant of New Hampshire and Daniel Fant and his wife, Ellen of Anderson; his daughter, Lorraine Fant-Buerhaus of Nashville, TN; a brother, Conrad Fant and a sister, Elda Luperfido, both of NY; and six grandchildren.A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church conducted by Father Max Kishe. Innichement will follow in M. J. 'Dolly' Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
