Howard Haynes Stephenson, Jr., age 59, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born on April 5, 1956, on Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Lt. Col. Howard H. Stephenson, Sr. and the late Bertha Anderson Stephenson. Mr. Stephenson was a graduate of Oakton High School in Vienna, VA. He was a carpenter by trade, building residential houses and was known for constructing beautiful log homes. Survivors include two daughters, Megan Stephenson and her husband, Robert Bailey, of Anderson, and Rachael Stephenson and her fianc, Mark Lefebvre, of Asheville, NC; a sister, Rebecca R. Seroka and her husband, Robert, of Clayton, NC; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Trinton, Carson, and Ella; and two beloved childhood friends, William Pelto of Virginia and Steven Tennant of Louisiana; Howard is also survived by extended family in Harrisburg, IL. The family is arranging a private memorial to be held at a later time.
