WALDROP, JR.FEBRUARY 16, 1930 - JanUARY 5, 2011ANDERSON, SC ' Howard Newton Waldrop, Jr., age 80, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born February 16, 1930, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Howard Newton Waldrop, Sr., and Ida Foster Waldrop. He was a 1947 graduate of Anderson Boys' High School and served in the United States Navy. Mr. Waldrop was a retired Lab Technician with Celanese, Inc. and was a member of West Anderson Church of God.Survivors include his brother, Donnie F. Waldrop of Anderson, SC; and caregiver and dearest friend, Melissa Turner of Anderson, SCIn addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy D. Waldrop.A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Reverend John M. Daniel and John Ellington.The family is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Donnie F.
