VICKERY OCTOBER 1, 1941 - AUGUST 30, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Hoyt T. Vickery, age 71, husband of the late Connie Sue Vickery, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 at AnMed Medical Health Center. Born in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Bunyan B. Vickery and the late Mary Nell Franklin Vickery. Mr. Vickery was retired from Oconee Nuclear Station with Duke Power, where he worked as a shop foreman in the fabrication shop. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was a caring father, grandfather who was dedicated to his family and the needs of others. He is survived by his sons; Randy Vickery, Todd Vickery and his wife, Gwynne, and Dennis Vickery and his wife, Dana, all of Anderson; five grandchildren; Tyler, Hunter and Caroline Vickery, Blaise and Mason Owens; one great-grandson, Garrison Vickery; sisters, Sarah Yeargin, Jewell Wright, Caroline Molina, Shirley Andrews, Brenda Thompson, and Kathie Davis. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Eugene Vickery; one brother, George Albert Vickery. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church with the Reverend Greg Hamman and Reverend Paul Williams officiating. Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 2, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
