Hoyt "Worley" Whitfield, Jr., 76, of Anderson passed away on Friday December 28, 2018 at Regency Hospital of Greenville. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Isbell Whitfield and was the son of the late Hoyt Worley Whitfield, Sr. and the late Lula Bell Whitfield. Worley served in the U. S. Navy and later retired from K-Mart as a store manager. He was a member of Cowboy Church, Leighton, Alabama. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother Roger Whitfield (Delores) of Anderson, SC and sister, Diane Wilbanks (Ray) of Iva, SC. The funeral service will be held at the Committal Shelter at the M.J. Dolly Cooper Cemetery at 1 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2019 with U.S. Navy Honors. Following the service, the family will receive friends from 2-5pm at The McDougald Family Center. The Reverend David Whitfield will officiate the service.
