Ida Mae Brown Brock, age 85, of Pendleton, SC, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022, at Rainey Hospice House. Born March 14, 1937, in Elbert County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Willis Milton Brown and Lois Mae Evans Brown. She was married for 60 years to George Claymon Brock until his death in 2020. Ida was retired from LaFrance Industries with over 20 years of service to the company. She was known for her friendliness, always inviting people over to eat. She loved to camp with her family and pull her fifth wheel all over the country. She had a green thumb and loved to garden. Ida was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, George Brock and Richard Brock; daughters, Sheila Wheeler (Jack) and Tonya Brock; brothers, Sam Brown and Roger Brown; sister, Clara Gaines; grandchildren, Stephanie Wheeler (Scott Belknap), Evan Wheeler (Alicia), Jacob Brock (Jill), Tyler Henderson, and Georgia Henderson; and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Douglas Brown, Claude Brown, and Janie Morgan. A cryptside service will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, at 4:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Barry Robinson officiating.
