IDA BETH MCLEOD October 22, 1934 - August 26, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Ida Beth Freeman McLeod, age 78, of Anderson, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Bruner Jessie Freeman and the late Mary Etta Cox Freeman. She worked for many years at the Kendell Manufacturing Company in Seneca, SC. Later she worked for Anderson County School District 5 at the Westside High School Cafeteria. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Anderson. She is survived by her children, Edward Bates, of Ft. Thomas, KY, Sandra Evans, of Atlanta, GA, Donna McLeod, of Anderson, SC and Lorna McGowan, of Seattle, WA; a twin sister, Lucille Whitworth and a younger sister, Susie Price, both of Westminster, SC; a brother, Jack Freeman, of Seneca, SC; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wilson McLeod, Jr.; two sons, Donald Bates and Chuck McLeod; a great grandchild, Charles Xzavier Thrasher; and a brother, Wilburn Freeman The Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Andy Bullions officiating. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home prior to the service from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM.
