Mrs. Mullinnix graduated Montreat College and received her registered nursing certification from Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC. She was a homemaker and public school Nurse. Mrs. Mullinnix was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.Survivors include her daughter, Connie Haire and husband, Phil, of Sylva, NC; sister, Anne Beard of Rock Hill, SC; two grandchildren: Richard White and wife, Darla, of Anderson, SC, and Anne Collins of Sylva, NC; four great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Eugene 'Gene' Mullinnix; and children: Imogene Mullinnix, William Eugene 'Bill' Mullinnix, Jr., and Ila Mae Mullinnix.A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, May 20, 2011, at New Silver Brook Cemetery conducted by Dr. Dennis R. Tedder.
