She was a homemaker and member of Young Memorial A.R.P. Church. Mrs. Shirley served as a volunteer at AnMed Health and in the bookstore of the Anderson County Library. Survivors include her children: daughter, Sue Ann Glenn and husband, Mike Glenn of Anderson, SC; son, Cort R. Flint, Jr. and wife, Suzanne Flint of Greenville, SC; sister, Jo Ann Burch of Ruidosa, NM; grandchildren: Michael Glenn, Caroline Glenn, Betsy Glenn, Cort R. Flint, III, Curtis Flint, Logan Flint, Jenna Haligis, and Priscilla Magsig; and nine great grandchildren.She was thrice married: first to the late Reverend Dr. Cort R. Flint, second to the late Walter Herring, and third to the late John R. Shirley. In addition, she was predeceased by a sister, Sue Galloway.A Musical Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Young Memorial A.R.P. Church conducted by Dr. Dean Woods. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Rainey Fellowship Room of Young Memorial A.R.P. Church.
