Ima Jean Sammons Rice, age 78, of Townville, SC, loving wife to the late Harold Rice, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Condor Health Anderson. Born February 9, 1943, in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Frank Sammons and Ottie Mae Cobb Sammons. Ima worked as textile worker at Glen Raven where she later retired. She was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Frankie Wilbanks and Bruce Wilbanks (Linda); brothers, Rayford Sammons (Martha) and Jimmy Sammons (Patty); and sisters, Lounell Glenn (Jimmy Ray) and Annie Hall (Ray). In addition to her parents, and devoted husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Glenn, Katherine Sammons, and Sue Waters; and brother, Jack Sammons.
