Hooper of 306 Lewis Street, Anderson, SC, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 16, 2006.Born in Anderson, SC on July 8, 1940, Mrs. Hooper was the daughter of the late John R. Whitworth and Evelyn Parham 'Peggy' Whitworth. She was retired from the AnMed Health Medical Center Business Office as secretary with 25 years of service. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church where she was very active in the choir, the W.M.U. and was a former director of the pre-school. She was a member of the Golden Ambassadors and was involved with the Haven of Rest, 'Under His Wings Program'.Survivors include her husband, Theron A. Hooper of the home; sons, Anthony SA'an Hooper and his wife, Renee of Belton, SC, Malan Dion Hooper and his wife Mary, of Anderson, SC and Dennis Martin Hooper and his wife, Vivian of Anderson, SC and five grandchildren, Dion Hooper of Nashville, TN, Dudley Hooper of Winter Park, FL, Matthew Hooper, Bailey Hooper and Sarah Hooper, all of Anderson, SC; two nieces, Teresa Jordan and Debbie Walls, both of Anderson, SC.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Dalton Whitworth.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2006 at 3:00 pm at Pleasant View Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Glenn Taylor. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, February 18, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence, 306 Lewis Street, Anderson, SC and at the home of her son, SA'an Hooper, 939 Highway 413, Belton, SC.Flowers are optional.
