INEZ K. BOWEN November 15, 1917 - October 11, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Inez Kay Bowen, age 95, of Anderson, passed away at AnMed and entered her eternal home in Heaven on October 11, 2013. Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Foster Kay and the late Pearl Brewer Kay Jarrett. She worked in textiles for many years at Appleton Mill. Later in life, she worked at Ellenburg Nursing Home and retired at the age of 87. She enjoyed bus trips with her friends at Appleton Women's Club and also loved traveling around the United States with her husband in their travel trailer. She was a faithful member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was active in the Fidelis Sunday School Class and the Golden Age Club as long as her health permitted. Left behind to cherish her memory are her son Larry (Betty) Bowen and daughter Mary Ann (Connie) Allen, all of Anderson; a brother, Vernon Jarrett; and a sister, Kathryn White; grandchildren, Ricky (Connie) McCullough, Kelly (Mark) Fredericks, Angela (Sean) Leahy, Gregory (Angie) Allen, Jon (Allyson) Bowen, Kristie Bearden, and Suzanne (Scott) Frailey; 23 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles, to whom she was married for 55 years; her daughter Connice McCullough, two grandchildren, Randy McCullough and Elizabeth Ann Allen; two brothers, Ralph Kay and Earl Jarrett; three sisters, Obera Sexton, Lucille Horne and Helen Massey. The Funeral Service will be held at Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 3:00 with Reverend Brent Lollis and Mr. Harry Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, October 12, 2013, from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM.
