PATTERSON MAY 25, 1922 - SEPTEMBER 21, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Inez D. Patterson, age 91, wife of Melvin Patterson, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at her home. Born in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Davis and the late Bessie Oakley Davis. She had retired from Abney Mill with over 25 years of service. Mrs. Patterson was a faithful member of New Prospect Baptist Church; she was an avid vegetable and flower gardener. She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, and their daughter Sandra Patterson of the home; sister, Kate Bowen of Anderson, SC, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters; Elise Hill, Clara McClellan, and Joann Keasler. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 11:00 am at New Prospect Baptist Church, with the Reverend Dr. Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Patterson will be placed in the church at 9:30 am Tuesday morning. The family will receive friends at the church before the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Flowers are accepted.
