Robert Irby Horne, age 73, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

Born September 27, 1951, in Greenwood, SC, he was a son of the late William J. Horne and Kathryn Thompson Horne.

Irby worked as a foreman in the construction industry for many years before retiring. He loved golf, especially the Masters Tournament, was an avid Clemson Tigers fan and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his brother, Dr. William J. "Rip" Horne, II.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 10:00-10:45 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
