IRENE S. HUBBARD May 23, 1914 - February 17, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Irene Scarborough Hubbard, age 98, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Scarborough and the late Icey Christian Scarborough. She retired from the textiles industry after nearly 50 years of service. She is survived by a daughter, Pat H. Craft and her husband Louie of Belton, SC; and a brother, Howell Scarborough of Central, SC; three grandchildren, Pam Rogers (Terry), Mitzi Redinger (Jeff), Mandy Cowart (Mike); and five great-grandchildren, Travis Rogers (Jacquelyn), Chris Rogers, Morgan Cowart, Blake Cowart and Rachel Redinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin R. Hubbard; a son, Marion Forrest Hubbard; and three sisters, Frankie Timmerman, Ruby Timmerman, and Eunice Cooper. The Funeral Service will be held at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at 2:00 PM with Reverend Dr. Larry N. Timmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of her daughter, 105 Meeks Drive, Belton, SC and will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Tuesday, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
