Dorothy Irene Fowler Price, age 92, of Piedmont, SC, formerly of Anderson, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at her home. Born April 1, 1930, in Seneca, SC, she was the daughter of the late John "Fred" Fowler and Doshie Bearden Fowler. She was married to Claude "Dewey" Price until his death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Claudia Irene Price; and brother, Richard Fowler. Irene attended Columbia Business College and was formerly the bookkeeper for Sullivan Hardware in Anderson. When she married her husband, she became a homemaker, lovingly taking care of her family. Irene loved the Lord, was a great witness to others and loved reading her Bible. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Her family will remember her as a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her daughter Karen P. Sealey and her husband Tim; twin sister, Inez Fowler Lowery; grandchildren, Sean Jefferson and Sarah Jefferson; and three nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from noon until 1:30 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Scott Suttle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.
