Iris Louise Hogue Brown, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Summit Place of Anderson.

Born October 27, 1945, in Wilmington, NC, she was the daughter of the late William A. Hogue and Mildred England Hogue. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Brown; and son, Heath Edwards.

Iris enjoyed a long career as a teacher with the Christina School District in Delaware. She was an amazingly talented painter and excellent baker. She also loved photography and knitting. Most of all she was a great mom who loved her family more than anything. She will be missed immensely.

She is survived by her son Arnold Edwards (Larry Lambright) of Philadelphia, PA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 11:30-12:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.
