Iris Grethel Dickson, 90, of Anderson, SC passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at NHC of Anderson. Born April 3, 1927 in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late, Cleveland Keith and Rhoda Simpson Keith. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, RV "Dick" Dickson and sisters, Edna Page and Peggy Thrasher. Iris had worked as a kindergarten teacher for Temple Baptist Church and West Anderson Church of God and was a member of Orrville Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school for 65 years. She is survived by her daughters, Jean Vickery and Mary Ann Craft (Rudy) all of Anderson and her sister, Lucy McClellan of Anderson: five grandchildren, Denise (Eric) Steadman, Dana (Ray) Manley, Danielle (Lane) Cromer, Jason (Kelly) Craft and Steven (Deena) Craft; 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm Friday, February 2, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Sam Duncan and Rev. David Harris officiating. A private burial will be in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Mary Ann Craft.
