Iris Jean Hall, age 83, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born on January 10, 1932 in Macclenny, FL, Iris was the daughter of the late William H. and the late Fannie Rowe Shaw. Iris was the loving and devoted wife of 52 years to Clifford B. Hall until his death in 2002. She enjoyed many things in life while her health permitted, such as gardening, and cooking, but the one thing she took the most pride in was making sure her family was taken care of. Iris was a past member of Good Hope Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her loving children, Linda H. Hill, of Abbeville, SC, Carol H. Brooks, of Iva, SC, and Danny Hall and his wife Janet, of Iva, SC; a sister, Florida Cann, of Iva, SC, four grandchildren, Michelle Hoffman and her husband Brian, of Ridgefield, SC, Melissa Young and her husband Chuck, of Starr, SC, William Hall, of Iva, SC and Steven Hall, of Iva, SC; and four great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Katie Young and Elijah and Nicolas Hoffman. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Athel, J.L., and Ben Shaw; and four sisters, Mary Walworth, Mabel Nettles, Rosa Lee Nettles, and Velma Able. The Funeral Service to honor the life of Mrs. Hall will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Daniel Atkins officiating. Interment will follow at Iva City Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
