IVORY ADAMSJune 11, 1909-August 15, 2009 OBITUARY Anderson, SC- Ivory Brown Adams, age 100, wife of the late Joseph 'Mr. Billy' Adams, resident of Ellenburg Living Center, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Elbert County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Crawford Brown and Evie Osborne Brown. Mrs. Adams was retired from textiles and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. Surviving are her four grandchildren, Robert Elliott of Anderson, Kenneth Elliott of Pendleton, Sandra Burdette of Belton and Arlene Young of Anderson; eight great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her children, James Stewart Elliott and Charlotte Young; a grandson, Donald Young and one sister. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 11:30 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Scott Petry. Interment will follow in Zion United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home. The family is at their respective homes.
