Front Street, died Monday, November 17, 2008 at his residence.Born in Iva, SC on December 4, 1912, Mr. Hall was a son of the late J. B. L. Hall and Annie Boles Hall. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was a teacher of Agriculture. He was the owner and operator of Iva Self Service Laundry, he was a Mason and a member of the Iva Lions Club for over 30 years. He was a member of the Iva Town Council for several terms, was the superintendent of the Iva City Cemetery and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Starr-Iva Water Company. Mr. Hall was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iva where he taught the men's Sunday School class for several years. Survivors include his sons, Bobby Hall and his wife, Brenda of Iva, Stephen Hall and his wife, Faye of Starr and Stanley Hall and his wife, Bonnie of Iva; daughters, Carol Ann Hall Tubesing and Pat Potter and her husband Harold, both of Iva; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his special friends, Louie and Christa Compton. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Thelma Beatrice Chestnut Hall; brother, J. B. Hall, sister, Delma Ellington; step-brothers, Julius and Willie Hall; step-sister, Mamie Devoe; grandson, Jimmy Dale Compton and great-grandson, Andrew Compton.A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Iva City Cemetery officiated by the Reverends Jerry Gray, Roger Estridge and Mark Hering.The family will receive friends in the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Iva on Wednesday from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC or the First Baptist Church of Iva, P.O.
