Survivors include a brother, Roger Dale McAlister and wife, Cathy Lynn McAlister, of Anderson, SC; lifelong best friend, Bobby Massey and wife, Donna Massey, of Starr, SC; a special uncle, who has always shown continuous love & support, Clarence Martin and wife, Jean Martin, of Anderson, SC; nieces: Teresa Maleski, Charlotte Whitten, & Nicole Ballard, all of Anderson, SC, Nicki Fleming of Belton, SC, and Kelley Kirkland Cournoyer of NC; three great nieces, and one great nephew also survive. He was predeceased by a brother, Sammy McAlister.In keeping with Mr. McAlister's wishes, his remains will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made by donating blood.
