Jack Collins Prescott, age 77, husband of Doris Freeman Prescott, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010.Born in Ridgeland, SC, he was a son of the late Roy L. Prescott and Mary Cook Prescott. He served in the United States Air Force and was a 1955 graduate of Clemson University. Mr. Prescott was in the adhesive sales industry. An avid Clemson fan, he was a longtime member of IPTAY. He was an avid bird watcher and was of the Methodist faith.In addition to his wife, he is survived by their children: Kerry Prescott Brooks and Keith Brooks of Greenville, SC, Jack Collins Prescott, Jr. 'Captain Jay' and wife, Diane Prescott of Hilton Head, SC, and Tracey Prescott Weeks and husband, Chris Weeks of Greenwood, SC; four grandchildren: Tyler Brooks, Justin Brooks, Christopher Weeks, and Elic Weeks; and one great grandchild, Logan Prescott Brooks. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Friday, November 19, 2010, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by his friend, the Reverend Ken Rhoden.
