Henry Dewease "Jack" Sears, age 86, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Commerce, GA on December 23, 1930, he was the son of the late Fred Sears and the late Beulah Bruce Sears. Jack was a devoted, dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Uree Martin Sears; a daughter, Jackie Peluso of Anderson, SC; a son, Tony Sears and his husband Brad Levenson of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Carlton Sears; sisters, Shirley Hembree and Betty McKinney; a granddaughter, Amy Rhodes and her husband Kenny; a granddaughter-in-law, Kris Miles; seven great-grandchildren, James, Tyler, MacKenzie, Luke, Jessica, Olivia and London; and a great-great-granddaughter, Elise. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Sears; a grandson, Eric Miles; four brothers; and three sisters. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
