Jack Vaughn Greenville, SC Jack C. Vaughn, age 83, of Greenville, SC, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014. Born in Mauldin, SC, he grew up in the Old Hundred Community of Greenville County, an area that he loved dearly. Jack was the son of the late Alston Wilkes Vaughn and the late Sarah Johnson Vaughn. He was the owner of Jack Vaughn and Associates, a wholesale chemical company. Jack was a fixture at both the Anderson and Pickens Jockey Lot for many years. He loved gardening and working in the yard. He also loved telling tall tales and spending time with his family. He always viewed his children as his greatest achievement in life. Jack was a member of the Reedy River Presbyterian Church in Greenville where he served as a former deacon. He is survived by his children, Jack C. Vaughn and his wife Pam, of LaGrange, GA, R. Dale Vaughn, of Memphis, TN, William Bryan Vaughn and his wife Stacey, of Fort Mill, SC; and Vickie Vaughn Burns and her husband David, of Anderson, SC; a brother, George Vaughn, of Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Davenport Vaughn; brothers, Bill, Edgar, Joe, Mack, Harold and Daniel Vaughn; a sister, Gladys Chandler; and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Haynes Vaughn. The Graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. David Bailey officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service.
