On Friday, October 12, 1951 in Plattsburgh, New York, Jacqueline Patricia LaFave Bechard was born to the late John LaFave and the late Patricia Willette LaFave. Jackie went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 8, 2020 surrounded by her loving and caring family at the age of 68. Jackie was a staple in the community. She was a member of the Anderson Elks Lodge 1206, where she served as President of the DOES, an Auxiliary Member of the American Legion of Belton, SC and a member of the VFW Greenwood, SC. Jackie also had a passion for the game of bowling. The huge smile on her face could be seen from far away, and she loved spending time with family and friends. On October 10, 1970, Jackie married the love of her life, Gary O. Bechard. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Chuck Bechard (Rene) and Jim Bechard (Nichole). Jackie was also a grandma who loved and enjoyed her grandchildren, Jon Miller (Amanda), Reagan Bechard, and Chase Bechard, as well as her great-grandchildren, Dorian and Anthony Miller. She had many special friends, and she loved all of them in a distinct way. A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at the Anderson Elks Lodge 1206 at a later date. The family will greet loved ones and friends following the service. Social distancing will be observed.
